SSH IPSEC Express Winner of the European Information Technology Prize 1998
The Success of SSH IPSEC Express continues and it is chosen to be winner of the European IT Prize for this year. The annual European IT Prize is an award for new, information technology products that are distinguished for their excellence and compliance to the today's business and society. The Prize is organized by Esprit programme of the European Commission, DG III - Industry, in cooperation with the European Council of Applied Sciences and Engineering - Euro-Case.
SSH IPSEC Express, the new security toolkit launched in February this year, was chosen from 300 participants from all over Europe and Israel. Since its market launch, the product has been praised by analysts and experts in the field and has now been awarded by the officials as a representative of Europe's strengthening position in information technology and telecommunications. IPSEC is a technology that is one of the key responses to the challenge of making the Internet secure.
"Today everybody agrees that knowledge, and innovation based on knowledge, is the key source for jobs, within what we call the information society. To make the most of our innovative talent, however, we need entrepreneurship and dynamism, a strong will to get on with it. These Prizes are exactly to give recognition to entrepreneurial companies, who display that entrepreneurial spirit."
